Andy Hurley makes things all better. He should consider a career as a nurse. Or a shrink. Not!news remains more clearly delineated not!news; Fall Out Boy are on indefinite hiatus, and Pete is a drama queen wordsmith with more red wine than is strictly good for him, and far more access to the internet than is good for us. What's new?

Guh, drama.

Spent my evening carefully avoiding the piles of Real Work I'm meant to be tackling. Kind of want to crawl away and hide for a while.

Finished 'Wyrd Sisters', and have a much higher appreciation for Pratchett than I did before (my starting point was a sample size of 1; 'Colour Of Magic' was sort of uninspiring).

Yah. Pottered away in bandom; folded some laundry.

All systems go in my household tonight, folks.

Yay for Wyrd Sisters! Would you like the next witches book? I could bring it on Sunday. :)

Um ... going by [livejournal.com profile] heffiethedragon's facebook status, it looks like Sunday is no longer go? :(

No, it's been shifted to the 21st Feb because the pub double booked. Still planning to go, but not this Sunday.

To fill in our sudden free time, we're thinking maybe a Pride and Prejudice marathon instead? Thoughts?

Aw, movie marathon sounds fun but I think I'll go back to my original plan of a driving lesson on Sunday night. Work wants me to come in on Tuesday instead of Friday, which has unbalanced my week. I'll look forward to the live music on the 21st though, and I can bring you the next Pratchett when we study on Thursday. :)

Sigh, drama.

CoM is definitely not Discworld at its best; Wyrd Sisters is good but happily for you I think there are others in the series that are even better. :D

'Wyrd Sisters' was my first Pratchett, and then I was hooked :) I think 'Equal Rites' is before it?
I find the Rincewind books distinctly 'meh' compared to the witch books, and the guards books, and the Tiffany books. The Death books are also lovely but I think it helps to have read more of the others first so you get a bit of appreciation for who Death is and how he develops.

I have nothing to add to this comment, except to say that I concur, 100%.
