Shoes, and other shinies

I have a(nother) new pair of shoes. They are v. cool. They are for a wedding (thankfully, not my own). I am a bridesmaid. Said shoes are black, medium heel, pointy closed toes with open heels and an ankle strap, with embroidered detail and small crystals in strategic places. Pretty.

Ratties are doing well. Photos up soon. I'm helping out another student at the moment, who's never really had any animal handling experience before, and who is consequently rather anxious about handling little wriggly rats. Poor thing- I had to run a message to nclean on Friday, because I was silly and forgotted my mobile, and I left the student with clear instructions about which animals needed to be put in, and when. When I got back, she greeted me with "help! I haven't been able to pick them up, they keep running away! I don't know what to do!". Woe. Granted, the two little rats she couldn't pick up were A) both female, B) both high on drugs, and C) are the two hardest to pick up when they feel like being obnoxious, but nevertheless, the trick is to not give them the chance to run away. I went over and simply scooped them up. Done. Ah well, she'll learn, and she's working with male rats, anyway, which are easier to handle, because they are less squirmy, and more calm, generally.

This weekend's been a quiet one, which I think I needed, especially as it is sandwiched in between two extremely busy and sociable weekends... although how a weekend can be sociable is a bit beyond me. :P.
Erm. Yes. Next weekend is Cherubfest, for which I must arrange a costume. EEP!
