In terms of university website layouts (and extracting information on staff members from them), Adelaide is good and Sydney is shit. I think I need coffee. I know I need coffee. coffeecoffeecoffee.

As for updates, let's see. I've done much socialising of late. Friday night was Halloween party, which was really cool- many awesome costumes, much yummy food, and excellent company. It's always nice to have people to squee at, even if those people give you a 'o_O' look of dismay and concern (and pity...) as you sink under the table in a little puddle of laughter. Hee! I wasn't drunk, I swear!

Saturday was a bit sad. Said goodbye to Julia at her farewell drinks; Julia is off on a grand adventure to Kangaroo Island. I'll miss her. (Also, I don't trust her replacement to look after my rats. Long story, but in summary, Julia is hard to replace.) I talked to strangers while at the party, which was a feat of which I am proud. Then I headed to M's housewarming, and was surprised to learn who her new housemate is... small world. *shakes head*

Sunday was a quiet one, but after two late nights, I didn't mind. There was Golgotha on Monday night, which was awesome! Mmm, alcyhols... nummy. Alas, there was lack of sleep, as I got home at 4, got to bed at maybe 4:30, then woke up at 7:30, and had interrupted sleep til 9:30, when I stumbled into the shower and clothing and out the door to the bus to uni. Urgh. No sleep=not cool. (Ergo, sleep=cool?)

This weekend will be good. Friday night will involve sewing, and Sunday I'll be watching a calisthenics comp. Just for random. Not sure about Saturday, though I'm sure there will be something...

I didn't realise how much I've missed singing until I started back at rehearsals.
Now, coffee.

“Many years ago this was a thriving, happy planet—people, cities, shops, a normal world. Except that on the high streets of these cities there were slightly more shoe shops than one might have thought necessary. And slowly, insidiously, the numbers of these shoes shops were increasing. It’s a well-known economic phenomenon but tragic to see it in operation, for the more shoe shops there were, the more shoes they had to make and the worse the shoes and more unwearable they became. And the worse they were to wear, the more people had to buy to keep themselves shod, and the more the shops proliferated, until the whole economy of the place passed what I believe is termed the Shoe Event Horizon, and it became no longer economically possible to build anything other than shoe shops. Result—collapse, ruin, famine. Most of the population died out.”
