I just signed myself up to do four shows in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar, because they're desperate for violins. Opening night is this Friday. Ahahaha- I've never played this show before- I don't *actually* know the music. I can make one rehearsal, namely Thursday night's FULL DRESS. Awesome. I can make three shows- Saturday night this week, and Thursday/Friday next week, out of a season of 6 performances; that is how desperate they are. There are so many reasons why this is a bad idea- for a start, I won't necessarily have a car, and the show is in Bundoora. Uncle Merv preserve us.


Please, somebody slap me over the head and tell me I'm insane, and to never do this again. Only, I can't actually guarantee that I won't. :)

Can anyone explain why, all of a sudden, my entry turned into one giant paragraph, even when I had it all spaced out neatly? I tried editing it, but to no avail. WTF?

ETA: Apparently, lj formatting objects to the addition of a '<' in the first paragraph; when I removed that from my keyboard smash, my post went back to normal. *headdesk*

My favourite bag is in pieces on the floor. Believe it or not, this is actually a good thing. It means that I *finally* got my arse down to Spotlight, found and purchased material that more or less matches the bag, and started repair work. Sadly, I shall not finish it today- I have unpicked it, cut off the wrecked bits, and cut out the replacement patches, but I'm leaving the sewing for tomorrow. Fortunately, now that said favourite bag *is* in pieces on the floor, I have great incentive to finish the task ASAP; it was getting started, as usual, which was the major hurdle. I've been meaning to tackle this for weeks. Nevertheless, I should have a fixed bag by this time tomorrow. FTW!

Then... I shall very carefully handwash it, another task that has been on my to-do list ever since I spilled half a bottle of rhyannonf's foundation in it.... yeah, that was a while ago. *hides*

I put all the JCS music into a folder. I shall practise it tomorrow, so that when I turn up to the dress rehearsal on Thursday, I don't look like a total idiot.
