Apr. 10th, 2008 06:20 pmThings have been very interesting these last few days.
Firstly, to get it out of the way (ahaha! Dream on... but, for now it will have to do): I can haz Panic(!) At The Disco tickets! Many thanks to
dzurlady for organising that. ♥ Also, I have been listening, first with trepidation and then with growing delight, to Pretty. Odd., and it is love at first hearing.
OK. Then.
I have a new dress, with a big (but not ostentatious) bow on the front of it, and it makes me happy. I also have a new hoodie, which brings me great joy, in the face of worsening weather and the drudgery that is my wardrobe at the moment.
I went out for lunch today with J(1), who is in Melbourne for a few days, over from Kangaroo Island. It was a *very* long lunch- we met up at 1, aaaand finally said our goodbyes at 4:45. Lovely!
J(2) is home from Europe, and we shall be catching up and looking at photos on Sunday, which gives me much excitement. Also on Sunday is the first orchestra rehearsal for Sweeney Todd, huzzah! *dances*
Tonight I am going to an African Drumming class, which should be fabulous. There is a wedding to attend on Saturday (which was what prompted me to buy the dress with the bow on it), followed by the reception, the PWP1, and a completely-unrelated birthday party.
Last night I got off my rear and organised a bunch of good friends to go out to the comedy festival. It was great! The tickets were cheap and the comedians were pretty good, given that I had *no idea* who was supposed to be performing when I walked through the door. It was along the lines of "surprise me!", and it was a pleasant one, to be sure.
Speaking of comedy,
apex_chio and I went to see Tripod on Saturday, and we laughed til we cried! The support act were called "The Beards", and they were from Adelaide, sported beards the lot of them, and, surprise surprise, drew all their song material from the topic of "beards". They were brilliant! I haven't laughed so much since
apex_chio went to Sydney and phone-spammed me and broke me into a hiccoughing, flailing bundle of incoherent, sobbing hysteria. *grin*
Tomorrow, I work all day. Blech. Now, I run away. Ciao, bellas!
1.plot? What plot? Post-Wedding Party! Woot!
