As of tomorrow afternoon, I am homeward bound. This does not make me sad. I have thoroughly enjoyed my trip, but I will also be glad to be home.
The last couple of days have been very relaxed - today cousin Jim took me to the best bookstore I have ever had the privilege of entering. I was very good and didn't buy anything, but not because of any shortage of choice! Stupidly, I left the beautiful new ring I bought for myself just last Sunday in the bathroom. I am very annoyed at myself. I called and asked and it wasn't there, then I recounted my tale of woe to Jim, and he said he'd heard an announcement about a ring while we were there, only at the time he heard it he didn't realise it was mine, and so he called the store and asked again, and still no luck. It is lost to me, probably decorating the hand of some unworthy store employee. *sigh*
We tried escaping the heat by going out to dinner, but it was only about 5 degrees cooler inside than out. Lame. For those skeptics among you, the US of A can get hot - today it was 104F (40C) and humid.

Anyway, I am obviously home now. Tomorrow, my parents leave for their holiday; I'll have the house to myself for 2 weeks. :) Speaking of which, if anybody wants to keep me company during that time, let me know. I have a house and a dog and a couch and a TV... tempting?

gabyvarius on Saturday afternoon, and yesterday was pretty boring. I'm back at work today. Take a guess as to my current state! Caught up on Necessary And Important Bandom Gossip with therathasspoken over coffee on the train this morning.
