why_am_i | (no subject)

Just a quick goodnight post while I wait for my interminably slow download to finish.

Today was every bit as quiet as I'd hoped it would be, but I was burdened with a mild head cold and a headache. Sucky. Still, I got on with my Saturday and tidied many of my fandom folders (which, eek! had gotten a bit out of hand, tbh), took the car to the cleaner, went for coffee with my dear papa, and generally pottered about.

Am seriously contemplating updating my layout. It's a bit overwhelming, which is why I've been putting it off for so long.

frankkincense kind of accidentally prodded me into thinking more seriously about it, when she met me in person for the first time and was surprised at my dramatic change in hairstyle. Methinks it is definitely time for a layout overhaul.

blindmouse, I do, I do like Empires! They are ... not my favourites ever, right now, but they may well grow on me as I listen more closely. Goodness knows Panic! did exactly that - and look at me now.

I am trying to remember whether they grew on me or if it was instant love. I think I listened to just 'Spit the Dark' so many times before I heard the rest of the album that I'd already fallen pretty hard.

I DO like them in a boat, and I DO like them with a goat, but I've found that MP3 players work best, if you know what I'm sayin'. :P

I already knew "Don't Let it Fool You", which I found quite hauntingly beautiful. Ah well, I'll keep listening and see how I go.
