Does anybody else ever struggle to simplify their turns of phrase?
Case in point
Setting: car belonging to close friend of similar verbiage to me.
Circumstance: very early morning start with insufficient sleep, followed by somewhat boring wedding ceremony.
Result: sleepy, brain foggy

Sentence uttered: "The warmth [of the car] has quelled my enthusiasm for consciousness."
Justification: In my sleep-addled state, I couldn't actually think of a simpler way of expressing the concept I was trying to communicate.
This afternoon is interminable. At least dictionary.com, wikipedia and
ockyflam are making a concerted effort to keep me entertained. Verbigeration, verbolatry and grammatolatry are my new favourite words.
